This project comprised the refurbishment of the ground floor of the Reid Library at the University of Western Australia, including a new café. The Reid Library is a 50-year old building, which posed a number of challenges throughout the design and construction.

The mechanical services design featured chilled water based VAV air handling systems to serve an occupancy of 700 people (increased from 350 previously), with economy cycle and demand based ventilation using CO2 control implemented to reduce overall energy consumption.
